Im too young to have ever seen that first hand. It does bring back memories of my first chemistry set though. funny how things work out.

I've never seen this either.
I did see a TV special the other day that was basically saying that one of the reason that the US is lagging in Science and Engineering is because these types of kits were taken off of the shelf. I've asked the BOD of the NASF to investigate creating one to distribute to all of the High school chemistry classes around the country.
It will be interesting to see if this gets the same kind of attention and funding the lobbyist get....
