Topic: Powder Coating and adhesive
We apply a TGIC Free Polyester powder to a part that then gets an adhesive to it to hold a piece of glass and rubber gromet around the glass. They have had 6 failures out of 10,000 in the last 2 years. All 6 are at the same location from across the country where these parts go. the powder has come off the part with the glue and rubber and glass. It has only come off where the glue and rubber was. They of course are blaming the powder coater. Any one have any thoughts or suggestions?

Re: Powder Coating and adhesive
What type of pretreatment was applied to the part before they were painted? If it was done chemically, what was the process in which the chemical were applied to the part? (spray washer, pressure washer, or immersion)
Were the 6 parts treated and painted at the same time (during the same run)?
