Topic: Process suggestions please. Satin finish on stainless steel

Hi there,

I am looking for a process to give a decorative satin finish to stainless steel whilst removing burrs etc? What would you recommend? See link below for reference of desired results. My components will be mostly turned items. It will need to be safe for use on threads or there must be a method for protecting them.

Dear Matt:

Electropolishing is definitely the way to go. And the threads can be protected. Allegheny Surface Technology in Lewis Run, PA is able to provide the decorative, satin finish you seek.
