Re: Junior metallurgist looking for a job in surface finishing
Hi,
I'm a recent graduate looking for an entry-level job in the surface finishing industry. My master's thesis was about applying electroless copper and nickel coatings to titanium hydride powder to delay hydrogen desorption. My primary interests are in metal powders and environmental issues but I'm flexible and open to new opportunities.
If you know of any openings for a young engineer (Canada only), please let me know.
Have a great day,
Laura

Re: Junior metallurgist looking for a job in surface finishing
Ideally, I would like to work in Quebec....my home province. However, I am willing to consider any interesting opportunities that come up. Electroless coatings, heat-resistant ceramics, HVOF...... I'm open to all possibilities.
Thanks,
Laura

Re: Junior metallurgist looking for a job in surface finishing
Well friend, For me the problem is that it doesn't say much. There's no flavor of the way you work, the value of your contribution, the obstacles you overcome, the influence you have, the results you achieve, the difference you have made to professional processes. It isn't interesting enough to care about. It sounds like you don't care. In the UK this would be thrown straight in the trash because there'd be 100 other applicants who have made themselves sound fascinating. You need to be descriptive and sell your professional values and assets.
