Small Entity Compliance Guide for the Hexavalent Chromium Standards describes steps employers are required to take to protect employees from hazards associated with exposure to the compound. Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL), exposure determination, respiratory protection and personal protective equipment, are just some of the topics included in the guide.

Many thanks to see the OSHAS NEW ANNOUNCEMENT ON HEXAVALENT.
We have been doing Hard Chrome plating of valves for engine valves as a vendor.Recently Cummins USA has instructed us to Hard Chrome plate the cummins engine valve in trivalent chrome (exported to US from India) and not on hexavalent from 2007.I wish to know whether trivalent chrome plating salt has already come into market? Is there a method by which a chrome plated valve can show the presence of hexavalent in the lab?I will be happy to get further information on this

The plant is fully automatic, remote controlled, closed loop plant, backed up by auto dosing of chemicals. A well-equipped effluent treatment plant also backs it up.

The awareness for Trivalent Chrome is extremely less in India.  Iwish to know if there are any members who would be interested in our Plating Facility

Yes Trivalent chrome plating has already arrived in the market.

We are doing Trivalent Chrome plating on a commercial scale at Doddaballpura

The above plating has Cr3 ions which are not hazardous to workers.
