Re: Splash AnodizingActually, Yes i do.. I have got all the information you need to perform Splash anodizing. HOWEVER. It is a tight lipped secret as it took me 4 years to perfect the art form. I can assist you in the splash anodizing but a decent consultation fee will be included. This is a photo of a beta test of splash anodize. It a 4 color layer and as you can see we were having trouble with the application on the 4th (clear layer) I have since fixed that problem. I will post more on this in the near future. Re: Splash AnodizingThere are two methods. One that is labor intensive involves various layers of masking. The other is a proprietary process where by the dyes are mixed but insoluble. Either method will require a consultants fee or licensing. Re: Splash AnodizingSplash anodizing is usually refers to multicolor dying without using masking methods. Dyes may be applied by "painting" using brushes, sponges, etc. There are many methods depending on just what pattern and colors you need. I have considerable experience with multicolor anodizing but I don't charge for basic advice. Detailed or hands on help is available, for that I will charge. leo.herrington@yahoo.com Re: Splash AnodizingHello Leo and welcome to the forums! I'm so glad you brought up the splash anodize thread again. I did a quick video search this AM and found an interesting video on this subject that I wanted to share with the community. One of the most interesting things in this video is that was done by KIDS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-JkzHbhTvY Re: Splash AnodizingIt is an an interesting and fun process. I have seen almost photographic quality prints and even real photographs done with inkjet printing. There are some guitars, paintball, guns etc. done with airbrushing that are incredible. There is much unrealized potential for many applications for graphics on anodized aluminum.
