"American Coatings Show" launched

The U.S. National Paint & Coatings Association (NPCA), in cooperation with Vincentz Network (VN)  has agreed to launch a new Science and Technology Initiative including a new “American Coatings Show”. North America`s leading coatings manufacturers and their suppliers have rallied behind the vision of “creating the premier U.S. coatings industry exhibition and conference, providing unique benefits, exceptional opportunities and unparalleled value”. NPCA,  the industry’s pre-eminent association in the U.S., and VN, publisher of international coatings journals and organizer of the European Coatings Show (ECS), will pool their resources to create a new family of services to the industry.

The “American Coatings Conference”, a world class science and technology forum, will be held in conjunction with the Show, and the “American Coatings Daily” will be published throughout the event. Additional related projects are being developed to create synergies for the benefit of the industry.

“The American Coatings Show and its concurrent activities will be a globally aligned enterprise, leveraging existing resources in connection with the European Coatings Show, European Coatings Journal , and “EC Daily”,” said Andy Doyle, President of NPCA; “ The American Coatings Show will become a  “must-attend” event.”

The American Coatings Show will have a bi-annual schedule, beginning in 2008, at a dedicated, fixed venue. According to NPCA, a “very significant” number of top companies have already endorsed the event.

NPCA is a voluntary, nonprofit trade association representing over 90% of the U.S production of  paint and coatings. Its membership includes coatings manufacturers, chemical and industry related suppliers and distributors. As the preeminent organization representing the paint and coatings industry in the United States, NPCA provides business, technical, marketing and government affairs services.

Vincentz Network (VN) is a Germany based media company, whose Coatings Division provides scientific, technical and management information to the international paint and coatings community. VN publishes journals, books and newspapers, organizes conferences, seminars and exhibitions and offers a wide range of interactive online content, data and training services for the industry.
