Re: Red Anodizing w/ Laser Mark

I've been anodizing for about four years now.  We have only done black parts in the past, but now we are venturing into color.  After we anodize we laser mark our parts with a logo.  Our goal is to get a rich smooth black and a brillant white laser mark.  Which in the past few years has been my nemesis.  I feel like I have a handle on the black parts w/ a nice white laser marking.
But, now we are about to do red parts, and the laser mark comes out a little pink.  Does anyone have any experience w/ this?

please help.

What type of dyes are you using, Red and Black.  (Actual product names)

Re: Red Anodizing w/ Laser Mark

We're using Deep Red, but today I think I figured it out.  I had to bring my concentration up a little, increased my time, and changed my de-ox.  But I also suspect that our laser engraver could be out of allignment.

Do you have experience with anodizing and laser engraving the parts?
