Redoing Antique range

Good Afternoon,

I am currentlly restoring a Round Oak Chief Range/wood-coal stove.  It is probably dating to the 1920"s. 

I am wondering if this can be powdercoated on the interior of the cookbox, or will that not work because of fumes to the food and is it safe?

Please let me know if anyone has had any experience with this type of project.
