Topic: eletrolytic corrosion resistance over aluminum substrate surface
Hi! How to get an optimalĀ corrosion resistance plating over aluminum substrate surface using electroplating methods, which metal and methos of work use in madding the alloys multiple layers for get the corrosion resistance??

Re: eletrolytic corrosion resistance over aluminum substrate surface
In my experience with decorative applications and aluminum wheel plating, The typical approach I used was this:
Non-etch soak
Etch
desmut
etch
desmut
zincate
zincate strip
zincate
sulfamate nickel strike
semibright nickel
high sulfur nickel
bright nickel
micro porous nickel
chrome
You can remove the high sulfur and micro porous nickels for a more "typical" cycle.
