Mechanical Plating and Galvanizing

Mechanical plating and mechanical galvanizing are being used as a viable alternative to electroplating, hot dip galvanizing, and other MF processes for certain applications. I have seen many problems of hydrogen embrittlement, as well as the ability to apply heavy coating thicknesses, solved with the use of this process. Looking for comments, experiences, and remarks regarding this process.
